I've almost forgotten how to do this journal thing. I'm sure it is like riding a bike.

The other day I heard Dolly Parton covering Collective Soul's "Shine". And I tell you this: it was hot! For a few minutes I was convinced that it was originally a bluegrass song.

Man, I would totally go to Dollywood.

I've been reading a bunch of Latin recently. I think for the first time I actually grasp Latin grammar. Initially I rushed things a bit, running before I could crawl. I'm almost enjoying it now. Even the poetry, whose spirit I had never really understood before. I had studied Greek verse first, and the Roman poets always seemed to me like a bizarro world version of other stuff. I just willing to give it a chance now.

I've bits of words and melody for two or three songs right now. I generally like to have more than one project at a time, so if I get frustrated with one, I just turn to the other.

I think I said I would throw a party here a week from today. I suppose I need to purchase some alcohol. Mmm, beer.

Honest to God, why is this diary still here? Well, maybe if I get a few vacuous entries in, I'll come with something to say in a little bit.
