Bleh, I didn’t quite finish song number two by day number six. Recording it turned out to be more challenging than I thought, and I should take into account that Thanksgiving fell into the middle of my allotted three days. I’ve something down, but it doesn’t have the opening I want and I’m still not sure I like the ending. I think I shall end up going with distortion on the guitar this time. I’d have preferred all the songs to be acoustic, but I am not sure this one is going to allow it. Also, the current lack of percussion is more frustratingly apparent in this one.

It occurred me to me after about day two I should have really given myself days off here and there, but I won’t whine about it now (much). As I think I said, December 28 is the goal, but I am allowing myself to extend the date till New Year. I might not have to chew into the grace days yet, because I’ve one or two songs I really wasn’t planning on doing very much past what I’ve already done for them. I think I will try to get all or most of one of those done today and then use the rest of that songs time finish up the other one.

Either that or weep like a child.

Anyways, the plan is just to record twelve songs with a view to making an album. I don’t have to include all of them. I could replace a few or drop a few or add a few.

I am going to go move around some because I am going to be in a bad state of mind if this project isn’t successful to some degree. But you can listen to the first track here, if you want. It’ll be up for a few days at least.
